Locally grown and sourced food has become a widely popular movement gaining momentum throughout the country. Buying food locally from Farmer's Markets and community supported agricultural programs such as food co-op programs allows for direct purchases from farmers to consumers. Having the knowledge of where, and how, your food is sourced creates the need for more transparency in food processing. This new movement hopes to provide the freshest, ethically sourced food for the consumer.
Many restaurants are now trying to buy food locally for customers. Locally sourced food purchases do not only benefit the consumer but the community as a whole. Supporting local farmers and privately owned businesses provide more sustainable, self-reliant and resilient networks for communities. This self-reliance improves the local economies in terms of health, social community, environmental impact, and awareness of what consumers are actually purchasing.

"Milwaukee is known for its breweries, in particular, but it doesn't stop there. We are privy to many sources of locally grown produce and meat, and I frequent several restaurants that also take advantage of community farmers. You really feel like they are providing the best possible food for the consumer. It's also nice to know where your food comes from and how it is handled. I've also noticed this new movement seems to empower consumers. I know quite a few people who are growing their own vegetables now. It doesn't get more local than that! Lake Michigan – A Place to Relax and Enjoy
Known as one of the five Great Lakes in North America, Lake Michigan covers a surface area of over 22,000 square miles. The lake itself is so massive in scale that it has an abundance of attractions and amenities for visitors to enjoy. Lake Michigan is the only lake of the five Great Lakes that is geographically completely located within the United States.
Among the attractions located along Lake Michigan include several miles of beach shoreline. The white sand, which is normally located along the east and west coast of the United States attracts relocated beach bums. The lake is so large that there are over two dozen state parks and four lighthouses situated around its edges. The lake is also home to a plethora of fish and other aquatic species. Among the fish that make the lake their home are catfish, perch, salmon, trout, bowfins, and both large and smallmouth bass. Milwaukee native David Albon is a veteran angler that has seen his share of trophy fish. "The best part of Lake Michigan is the challenge that it presents. The water temperatures are cold year-round, and the lake is so large that finding the big fish are often a challenge. But once you catch one you realize the trophies Lake Michigan has to offer."
In addition to recreational outlets offered, Lake Michigan also serves an important purpose in regards to commerce. Many companies both foreign and domestic rely on the lake as a means of transporting goods commercially. Every year over 100 million net tons of materials are moved using the lake.
College
College is the stepping stone to further success. Instead of simply working until you grow great at one trade, society has decided that a well-rounded education should be generally required to enter the upper echelons of the professional world. Trade Schools do still exist, especially for culinary training, cosmetic training, and a few other specific things. However, liberal arts is the generally accepted form of education as it demonstrates a general ability to learn, instead of simply possessing specific skills required for a single profession.
It would not be strange for businesses to begin using a Master's Degree as the minimum requirement for some lower-level positions, however. This is largely due to the major influx of college students, who then graduated only to find a broken job market. Most businesses still allow for a certain equivalent amount of experience to substitute for a degree, but this is likely only for a matter of time until higher degrees become commonplace.

David Albon is a natural born leader. He was born and raised in a large family so he often cared for siblings. He would help his family by completing chores and he discovered that he had a natural talent at craftsmanship. He not only had the talent, but he loved what he was doing.
